I’m going to speculate that this discussion about GenZ skews towards the college educated demographic. And maybe a portion of that. I’m college educated and, in my 20s, I would have ignored a poll about brands and social issues. Work, dating, playing some basketball and goofing around with my buddies. Brands? What would girls like that I could afford !
I wonder if influencers are the brands that GenZ cares more about than the big companies.
Would be interesting to know more details about the DoSomerthing poll, more than just age
Thanks for your comment. It's about brands--companies, causes, academia, nonprofits—targeting GenZ for marketing but not inviting much of GenZ's input into company policy as employees. GenZers in the workplace are increasing their demands for greater participation in the workplace on policies that affect them—but don't think brands are responding to what they expect they should. The DoSomething poll was specific to GenZ and the disconnect between what GenZ wants from brands and what brands think is good enough as a response. Thanks for reading! Here's the link to that poll for further reference: https://dosomethingstrategic.work/what-gen-z-wants-brands-social-impact-report
